This policy explains what d·ally (“the app”) collects and why. It applies if you use the app in the United States, India, or elsewhere.

What the app stores on your phone
Your habits, day marks (kept / skipped), day bookmarks, and settings live on your iPhone first. That includes quiet hours and alert preferences.
If you continue without an account
Everything stays on that phone. We do not get a copy of your habits just because you downloaded the app.
If you sign in
You can sign in with Apple or Google so habits and history can sync to your profile. When you do:
- We receive a user ID and basic account details from Apple or Google (such as name or email, if they provide them).
- Your habits, day logs, bookmarks, and profile fields are stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) so they can appear on other phones you sign into.
You can sign out, export history from the Profile screen, or delete your profile and synced data from the app.
Notifications
Alerts are scheduled on your device. We do not read the content of your notifications on a server. You can turn alerts off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Analytics
The app may send anonymous product analytics (for example, that the app opened, or that a habit was marked kept) to Mixpanel so we can see what works. Analytics use a project token in the app. We do not sell this data. You can ask us to delete analytics tied to your signed-in account by emailing debraj@theminarnet.com.
Crash and diagnostics
Apple may collect standard crash and performance data if you have opted in through iOS. We do not add a separate crash SDK beyond what Apple provides unless this policy is updated.
Children
d·ally is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the local age of digital consent). Do not create an account for a child with personal data.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers only to run the app:
- Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, device services)
- Google (Firebase Auth / Firestore, Google Sign-In, if you use them)
- Mixpanel (product analytics)
We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect the app and its users.
International transfers
If you sign in, your synced data may be processed on servers outside your country (including the United States). Providers apply their own security and legal terms.
How long we keep data
Local data stays until you delete it or remove the app. Synced data stays until you delete your profile and synced data, or ask us to delete it. Backups and analytics may take a short time to fully clear.
Your choices
- Use the app without signing in
- Turn off alerts
- Export your history
- Delete synced data from Profile
- Email us to ask what we hold or to request deletion
If privacy law where you live gives you rights to access, correct, or delete your information, contact us and we will respond as required.
Security
We use industry-standard services and transport encryption for sync. No method is perfect. Keep your device passcode on.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and post the new version here. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
